Anonymous bodies write an essay on kinesthetic experiences in the pleasure sandpit exploring the state of (un)sustainable imagination.
As an ongoing project, an essay on pleasure focuses on the creative potential of pleasure – state of sensitivity and its possibilities. Five anonymous bodies search their way through dozens of different objects and materials, developing strategies of ornamenting, destroying, dancing, interacting, wrapping, consuming, mixing, permuting … They strive to create a space orbiting around pleasure and disgust, playfulness and chaos, composition and liquidity. Pleasure as a tool of materializing imagination through a landscape of bodily experiences, as a kinesthetic search for a space of toddler-esque frivolity and vulnerability.
The project seeks to develop its own apparatus of senses, and – through mixing a variety of smells, textures, sounds and materials – different ways of relating and researching the body as a fundamental key of being.
Devisers of the project are students from Slovenia, Hong Kong, Poland, Czech Republic, Chile, Slovakia, currently studying in Prague.
